Allen He started performing magic in 2006 and has pursued this passion at events all over the East Coast ever since. When his magic top hat is off, Allen is a Product Manager at American Express. He has several years of experience as a financial consultant for some of the world's leading investment firms, and as an aerospace engineer for commercial and military aircrafts. He spends his time enhancing his craft as a performer, trying new hobbies, and scavaging for the perfect bagels, mimosas, and tater tots.
Aside from Allen's desire to achieve the "Coolest Uncle Ever" title, magic is how he wants to remind individuals to have fun, be imaginative, and enjoy the simple wonders. The concept of slowing down and entertaining the "impossible" seems to grow less common over time, but he believes that sometimes all we need is a little nudge, a little moment of astonishing magic, to remind us that not having the answer to something can be a pretty incredible experience.
Allen first began studying magic when he was thrown into Hogwarts by his family, was sorted into Gryffindor, and inevitably picked up the talent. In actuality, he became interested in magic after he watched his first magic show in 2006 at a casino in New Jersey. He left that show completely bewildered, full of wonder and questions, and with a newfound fascination in the mystical arts. Conveniently, and strategically, located next to the theater was a magic shop that instantly drew him in. After spending several hours watching the store associate he left with four little red sponge balls in hand, and the rest is... history. He practiced and performed with these little sponge balls for an entire year before deciding to expand his repertoire. Allen started learning through books, the all-knowing-genie that is The Internet, and constantly annoying his family and friends by sharing every new trick he learned. This eventually brought him here, from a child with a $12 prop from a casino magic shop, to one of New York's top professional magicians.
